The reassuring portrait of Don Colmegna caught in the most concrete act of giving opens this reportage featuring the Casa della Carità, which I made in 2004 for the Foundation, started in 2002 by request of Cardinal Carlo Maria Martini. Hospitality is at the heart of this institution, which bears the name of the benefactor who volunteered the starting capital, the entrepreneur Angelo Abriani.
