A journey to the heart of council housing in a neighbourhood on the eastern outskirts of Milan. Its social issues represented through the gestures and faces of the inhabitants. Children at school before the writing “Let’s fight for the right to study”, squatted apartments, the man chained in protest. But also dance, the memories of elderly women, the community entertainment club, the tenant committee. And a computer course to prepare kids for the future. The reportage was made in 1995, acquired by the Cultural Office of the Contemporary World of the cultural department of Lombardy’s Regional government.
